- soul votes, explained
In Deadlock, souls are the currency you farm to grow stronger. On Deadfrag, souls are how the community boosts the content it loves — a single tap that says "this one's good."
You'll see the soul button on community news, forum threads, and comments. Tap it to grant a soul to something worth surfacing. The best stuff floats up, and the people making it get recognized.
The rules are simple
- One soul per item. Tap again to take it back. It's a toggle, not a tally you can stack.
- You can't soul your own content. Souls are for lifting up other people's plays, posts, and takes.
Souls on your profile
Every soul your content earns adds to your profile total — a number that travels with you across the site. It's a quick mark of credibility: a high soul count means the community has vouched for you again and again, post after post.
Want a bigger number? There's only one way: make stuff people love. Write the recap nobody else bothered to, call the upset before it happens, drop the take that starts the thread everyone piles into. Earn enough and your name starts to carry weight — people read what you post because you posted it.
How to grant souls
Granting souls takes a Steam sign-in: one click, no forms, no email. If you play Deadlock, you already have an account. Signing in also unlocks comments, forum threads, following players and teams, and submitting community news.
Sign in, find something great, and grant it a soul. That's it.
